The Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded its horizons and introduced us Mrs. Marvel, its first-ever Islamic superhero in the form of Pakistani-American teenager Kamala Khan. Kamala, played by Iman Vellani, is like most other immigrant children her age in the United States – trying to understand her South Asian roots while growing up in New Jersey and continuing with her favorite pop culture events. So because she convinces her parents to let her attend AvengerCon, Kamala is a relatable superhero for immigrants and South Asians around the world. One of the other exciting elements of Mrs. Marvel is the mix of experienced actors and novices in the six-episode series.

Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms Marvel

Iman Vellani plays Kamala, a Muslim teenager growing up in Jersey City. This is Iman’s first acting concert and according to a video shared by Marvel, the actress was told she got the coveted role via Zoom Call.

Farhan Akhtar

While details about the role of Farhan Akhtar are still hidden, the actor shared a video on Instagram in which he is seen wearing a robe and wearing a beard, looking like a gentle philosopher. He even quotes Rumi and says, “What you’re looking for is looking for you!”

Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan

Actress Zenobia Shroff plays Muneeba Khan, Kamala’s mother. Zenobia is best known for her work in theater in Mumbai under the mentorship of the legendary Pearl Padamsee. She has worked on projects such as Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Great Sick, The Cause, The Inhabitant, and Mrs. Secretary.

Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan

Mohan Kapur, a well-known face in Indian cinema and television, plays the role of Yusuf Khan, Kamala’s father. He has appeared in films such as Happy New Year, Mangal Mission and Joyful LLBamong others.

Nimra Bucha as Najma

Famous Pakistani actress Nimra Bucha appears in the role of Najma. Not much has been shared about her role but we see her throwing a fist or two in the trailer. Nimra is best known for her role in critically acclaimed projects such as Churails and Mantle. She was last seen in the movie Kamliwhich is currently receiving excellent reviews in Pakistan.

Saagar Shaikh as Aamir Khan

Like Aamir Khan, Saagar Shaikh plays the role of Kamala’s older brother. He has previously appeared in shows such as Just Laugh It and Unfair & Ugly.

Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli

Matt Lintz is Bruno Carrelli, one of Kamala’s closest friends and her confidant. The actor previously appeared in Walking dead and What to Expect When You Expectamong others.

Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir

Like Nakia Bahadir, Yasmeen Fletcher is another of Kamala’s closest friends. She played a role in the film Join us.

Rish Shah as Kamran

Rish Shah as Kamran is that one guy in high school Iman’s character has the biggest crush. The British actor had previously acted in Emmerdale, victim and Years and Years by Russell T Davies.

Fawad Khan

In the case of Fawad Khan too little has been revealed about his character but the actor is said to play a major role in the superhero universe. In an interview with India Today, the co-creator of the series Sana Amanat said that the presence of stars like Fawad Khan and Farhan Akhtar “has lent gravity to the project” and more people in the western world will become fans of the actors.

Mehwish Hayat

Similarly, Pakistani star Mehwish Hayat will also play a role in the series but the actress and producers did not disclose any details about her character. “Processing Mrs. Marvel and being part of the MCU is a dream come true for me! “she said in a post. She is known for her work in films such as Boy actor, Punjabi Nahi Jaungi, Load Wedding, and Chhalawa.
