The Egyptian winger weighs in on his current election, which expires next summer. Salah asserted he stays in the next seasonbut there are question marks about who his employers will be beyond that.
The Reds have been locked in extended negotiations since last summer, but have been unable to reach an agreement as Salah is looking for a big salary. While Liverpool are reluctant to break their pay structure, they remain hopeful they can meet him somewhere in the middle.
If Salah does not sign an extension this summer and Liverpool keep him out of the transfer window, they risk letting him go as a free agent after 12 months.
That will bring several clubs into the equation and Mirror Soccer can exclusively reveal that the forward was promised to move to Barcelona next summer on free transfer. Barca’s verbal offer is believed to be the main reason for pushing a new deal at Liverpool despite him informing close friends a few months ago that he was. ready to write a new deal at the Merseyside club.
Salah has confirmed he will be at Anfield next season ahead of them Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid. He said: “In my mind, I’m not concentrating on the contract. I don’t want to be selfish at all. I said two months ago that it’s about the team. It’s an important week for us.

“I’m just concentrating on the team and winning the Champions League again. I want to see Hendon [Jordan Henderson] with the trophy in his hands and hopefully he gives it to me. I don’t want to talk about the contract now, I’ll stay next season for sure, that’s clear. “
Liverpool will hope that the recent addition of Jurgen Klopp’s contract – which keeps the German in the Anfield pit until at least 2026 – will help convince Salah and Sadio Mane – who are in the exactly the same situation as his teammate – to commit his future to the Reds.
But Klopp does not think it will be a decisive factor. “That’s more of a question for the boys, what exactly does it mean to them, but all right, my relationship with them is great,” he said.
Will Mohamed Salah leave Liverpool next summer? Let us know in the comments .
“My point is in life that there are more important things to think about, not just who is the manager, but knowing who the manager is and coaching staff is an important thing because when you know what you have with other clubs where you could go, you don’t know exactly.
“There’s not 100 per cent in this business, but I think I’ll probably stay a little longer because other coaches are there at other clubs.
“If it’s a positive sign for the boys, great, but I don’t think this will be the one decisive thing for any decision they want to make. It’s their own life, but we just wanted to make sure that everyone who wants to “Being here knows what to expect.”
